Would you buy an Aldi face mask? GlamGlow dupe selling for £5.99

GlamGlow and Aldi

GlamGlow’s cult classic, SuperMud Clearing Treatment, is 82% more expensive than Aldi’s dupe

Buying all the latest skincare and beauty products can be rather expensive so whenever there’s a dupe, we want to know about it. The UK’s leading supermarket chain, Aldi, have released a significantly cheaper version of GlamGlow’s cult face mask SuperMud Clearing Treatment – and in fact, it’ll save you £36.

GlamGlow have dominated the skincare market with their popular anti-ageing and skin-brightening face masks, which have become the brand’s staple products.

Their Supermud Clearing Treatment is currently retailing on FeelUnique for an eye-watering £42 but Aldi’s dupe, the Lacura Charcoal Clearing Mud Mask, will set you back just £5.99 leaving your finances in tact.

Similar to GlamGlow’s offering, the Charcoal Clearing Mud Mask promises to minimise pores, reduce the appearance of imperfections, balance skin and gently exfoliate the skin with the all-important glycolic acid.

In addition to the clearing mask, there is also a Lacura Exfoliating Mud Mask priced at £6.99, which is said to have been inspired by GlamGlow’s YOUTHMUD Tinglexfoliate treatment.

Among the other products in Lacura’s range, available in-store on Aldi’s website, include a bottle of Lacura Micellar Water at £1.99, Lacura Charcoal Face Wipes for £1.29 and the Lacura Charcoal Mud to Foam Cleanser set at £5.99.

Many celebrities and influencers have revealed themselves to be huge fans of the GlamGlow mud masks, including Vogue model Adwoa Aboah who proudly showed off her skincare routine on Instagram.

But how will Aldi’s dupe fair? Probably really well given its affordability and the fact that customers are increasingly becoming more trusting of their beauty products. One consumer commented on Twitter: “Its no secret that @AldiUK ‘s scincare products are great quality for the price. Im a big fan myself [sic].”

Just this week (11th February), Aldi was named the UK’s favourite supermarket in a survey conducted by Which?, booting Waitrose from the top spot for the first time in three years.

Will you buy and try Aldi’s Lacura mud mask?
